These are DIGITAL files meant for 3D printing. They ARE NOT physical miniatures!

Sculpted by the incomparable Erramir Orlan of Peculiar Companions, these Spanish Crossbowmen and Halberdiers are intended for armies from the 15th and 16th Centuries. This set 3D models comes in three poses with five variations. All models come as both pre-supported and unsupported STL files.

The 15th and 16th centuries were marked by significant historical events, including the Age of Exploration, colonial expansion, and conflicts that reshaped the world. The Spanish Crossbowmen played a crucial role during this period of exploration, conquest, and military innovation.

Battles and Wars:

Conquest of the Americas: Spanish Crossbowmen were part of the conquistador expeditions that led to the conquest and colonization of the Americas. They used their crossbows to provide long-range support during campaigns such as Hernán Cortés' conquest of the Aztec Empire (1519-1521).

Italian Wars (1494-1559): Spanish Crossbowmen participated in the Italian Wars, a series of conflicts that spanned several decades. They played a vital role in battles like the Battle of Ravenna (1512), where their ranged capabilities and precision were essential.

Tactics and Strategies: Spanish Crossbowmen were renowned for their accuracy and long-range capabilities. They wielded powerful crossbows that could deliver deadly bolts over significant distances. Their tactics involved:

Ranged Support: Crossbowmen provided long-range support to infantry and cavalry units. They could target enemy soldiers and commanders from a safe distance, weakening enemy formations before the main engagement.

Cover and Ambush: Crossbowmen often operated from concealed positions, such as behind barriers or fortifications. They would set up ambushes or defensive positions to maximize their effectiveness while minimizing exposure to enemy fire.

Siege Warfare: Crossbows were invaluable during sieges. Crossbowmen could target defenders on castle walls or within fortifications, making it difficult for the enemy to maintain their defenses.

Printing at 100% resolution will yield a true 28mm miniature. Prints at 105% are slightly more in scale with Perry Miniatures and 110% prints will be in a compatible scale with Warhammer Fantasy miniatures.
